Who are we
Tony, Joanne Munroe and son Toitehuatahi (Toi) have Maori ancestry from the Ngati Wai area of Northland, New Zealand (Aotearoa).
This area stretches along the northeastern coastline of the North Island (Te Ika A Maui) from the north end of Great Barrier Island (Aotea) in the south to Cape Brett (Rakaumangamanga) in the north which is the southern end of the Bay of Islands.
Joanne's ancestral ties to Ngati Wai are from the coastline area called Whangaruru and Tonys' ties are from Pataua, Whangarei Heads. |
